Houthi Missile Attacks on Aden International Airport Cause Civilian Casualties
Houthi militants launched two ballistic missile strikes against Aden International Airport in southern Yemen on Wednesday, resulting in civilian injuries and significant material damage.
The Ministry of Transport reported that the strikes occurred at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. local time, marking the sixth attack on the facility within a span of several days. Officials issued a stern warning regarding the implications of targeting civilian infrastructure, emphasizing the severe threat these actions pose to passengers and the safety of civil aviation.
Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, spokesperson for the Armed Forces, condemned the strikes as part of a broader campaign of Houthi aggression against vital civilian installations. He asserted that such actions deliberately endanger civilian lives and jeopardize the integrity of regional air navigation.
In response to the escalation, Colonel Al-Nazili reaffirmed the commitment of the armed forces to confront Houthi threats. He stated that military personnel remain vigilant in neutralizing these attacks and are taking all necessary measures to protect civilians and secure public property in accordance with international humanitarian law.
