Houthi militia break the truce, humiliate the UN: Hodeidah Governor

The governor of Hodeidah, Dr. Hussein Taher, said the Houthi militia broke the truce, and has not complied with it since its entry into force at 12 pm on Monday night

Dr. Hussein Taher told Khabar Agency that the Houthi militia bombed in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the joint resistance sites in the city of Hodeidah

He added that the Houthi militia bombed the sites of the joint resistance from the middle of residential neighborhoods in the city of Hodeidah, pointing out that the militia deployed its guns and tanks in various neighborhoods, causing a state of terror and panic among citizens

He stressed that the Houthi militia's violation of the truce is a great insult to the United Nations and its envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith

The United Nations said on Monday that the deal was to be implemented at midnight, even though the agreement reached in Sweden last week included an "immediate ceasefire" in Hodeida and its surroundings

The governor of Hodeidah blamed the United Nations and the international community for what is happening to the people of Hodeidah, stressing that they must intervene immediately to save Hodeidah and force the militia to implement the agreement

In a statement to Khabar Agency, Dr. Taher confirmed that the Yemeni resistance forces will not stand by, stressing that they will respond strongly if the Houthi militias continue to violate the truce
