Houthi Militia Deploys Reinforcements to Taiz and Lahj Fronts Amid Child Recruitment Reports

The Houthi militia has dispatched significant military reinforcements to active combat zones in the Taiz and Lahj governorates, with reports indicating the presence of minors among the mobilized fighters.

Social media users circulated footage recorded in Ibb city, depicting Houthi militants aboard military vehicles en route to the front lines in southwestern Yemen. The video clearly shows children integrated among the armed personnel, further substantiating long-standing allegations that the militia continues to recruit minors and deploy them to active battlefields within its controlled territories.

In parallel field developments, the Tor al-Baha Axis forces announced on Thursday that they successfully thwarted a Houthi infiltration attempt in the al-Ashbut area of the Maqatirah district in Lahj. Simultaneously, government forces repelled coordinated attacks launched by the militia against the al-Akbush and al-Ahkum fronts in the Hayfan district, located south of Taiz.

The military media center for the axis reported that government forces neutralized several infiltrating militants in Maqatirah, while the intense clashes in Hayfan resulted in significant casualties among Houthi ranks. In response to the escalation, coalition aircraft conducted three airstrikes targeting Houthi positions and fortifications, providing critical support to ground operations aimed at containing the militia's advances.

Fronts across Taiz and Lahj remain volatile as military confrontations between government forces and the Houthi militia persist. Observers have expressed growing concern regarding the potential for further escalation, which threatens to exacerbate the humanitarian situation and disrupt essential transit routes between the two governorates.
