Taiz, Yemen - A series of armed assaults against unarmed civilians in the city of Taiz has ignited public anger and calls for swift action to apprehend those responsible and restore security. The incidents, which occurred in separate locations, involved robberies and severe injuries, highlighting concerns over escalating lawlessness.

Local sources reported that a group of armed individuals attacked Abbas Al-Qabati in the Al-Radwan Al-Shumaisi neighborhood, looting his possessions in full view of bystanders. Authorities have been criticized for a perceived lack of decisive measures in response to the incident.

In another disturbing event, sources indicated that an armed gang, reportedly linked to an individual previously arrested for attempted murder and firing a weapon inside a barbershop, assaulted a young man named Badr in his shop in the Al-Masbah neighborhood. Badr sustained severe injuries, including a fractured jaw and head trauma, requiring hospitalization.

The gang allegedly vandalized Badr's shop and discharged firearms, causing significant material damage. Concurrently, in a separate incident, an armed man identified as Mohammed Al-Ardan fired three shots at a qat vendor, striking him in the thigh and leg. The vendor was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Residents have urgently demanded the apprehension of all individuals involved in these violent acts. They warn that the continuation of such incidents threatens public safety and fosters an environment conducive to violence and thuggery.
