Tribal Sheikh Shot Dead By Houthi Gunmen In The Yemeni Capital

Houthi gunmen assassinated a prominent tribal sheikh in a neighborhood south of the the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, which is under the control of the Iran-backed militia.
 
Local sources told Khabar Agency that Houthi gunmen shot Sheikh Hussein Ali Hatem Hizam, one of the sheikhs of the Sanhan district, after he left a mosque at dawn on Wednesday, heading to his house near the neighborhood where he lives in the Hezyaz area.
 
The gunmen fled to an unknown destination.
 
During the past few years, the Houthis have assassinated prominent tribal sheikhs in their areas of control, in conjunction with the investiture of new sheikhs affiliated to them.
