Yemeni Government Announces Cabinet Reshuffle with Three New Ministerial Appointments

The Yemeni government announced a formal cabinet reshuffle on Monday, issuing a presidential decree that confirms the appointment of three new ministers to key government portfolios.

The decree mandates the appointment of Salem Abu Bakr Mohammed Thabit Al-Awlaqi as the Minister of Information. Additionally, Judge Akram Naseeb Ahmed Al-Ameri has been named the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, while Ahmed Saleh Ahmed Al-Awlaqi assumes the role of Minister of Local Administration.

This directive serves as an official amendment to Presidential Decree No. 3 of 2026, which originally outlined the composition and membership of the current government. The changes are effective immediately upon the date of issuance.

In accordance with standard legal protocols, the decree has been ordered for publication in the Official Gazette to ensure formal transparency. The reshuffle comes amid ongoing efforts to stabilize administrative functions within the government as it navigates the current political and security landscape.
