Coalition Reports 13 Injured in Houthi Missile and Drone Attacks on Saudi Cities

A series of targeted attacks by Houthi forces on Monday, September 14, 2026, resulted in 13 civilian injuries and significant property damage across the Saudi Arabian cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif.

Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, confirmed that the Houthi militia utilized a combination of ballistic missiles and explosive-laden unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to strike civilian infrastructure. The resulting injuries to the 13 victims were reported as ranging from minor to moderate, while the strikes also caused structural damage to seven residential homes and two vehicles.

The Coalition condemned the operation as a deliberate and systematic escalation against protected civilian targets. Al-Maliki stated that these recurring hostile actions underscore the militia's extremist ideology and its continued disregard for international humanitarian law, which strictly prohibits the targeting of non-combatants and civilian facilities.

In response to the aggression, the Coalition’s joint command has affirmed its commitment to protecting the sovereignty of the Kingdom and the safety of its residents. Officials stated that they are addressing these violations with firm operational measures intended to neutralize the threat posed by the militia.

The Coalition further emphasized that it remains prepared to implement necessary defensive actions in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which guarantees the right to self-defense. All military responses, the spokesperson noted, will continue to be conducted in strict adherence to international humanitarian law and established customary rules of engagement.
