Five Killed and Injured in Houthi Missile Attack on Taiz-Lahj Road

A ballistic missile strike launched by Houthi forces has resulted in five casualties, including fatalities, after targeting a transport truck on the Hayjat al-Abd road connecting the Taiz and Lahj governorates.

Local sources confirmed that the missile made direct contact with the truck. A bus traveling nearby escaped physical damage from the blast, though the strike caused significant disruption to the critical transit route. Emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, and victims were transported to Khalifa Hospital to receive urgent medical attention.

Authorities temporarily closed the Hayjat al-Abd road following the attack to facilitate rescue operations and secure the area. The route, which serves as a vital artery for the region, was reopened to traffic once safety protocols were completed.
