Saudi Official Killed, Others Injured in Shooting at Al-Wadiah Border Crossing

A Saudi official was killed and several others sustained injuries following a shooting incident perpetrated by a Yemeni gunman at the Al-Wadiah border crossing in the Hadhramaut Governorate.

Security sources confirmed that the assailant managed to evade capture immediately following the attack, fleeing into the surrounding Hadhramaut desert. Authorities have since launched an intensive manhunt to locate the suspect and bring him into custody.

In response to the violence, the Al-Wadiah border crossing has remained closed since the early hours of the morning. Security personnel have secured the perimeter as an investigation into the circumstances and motivations behind the attack is currently underway.
