Suspects Apprehended in Al-Abar Raid Linked to Homeland Shield Commander's Assassination
Security forces in Al-Abar district, Hadramaut Governorate, have conducted a raid and apprehended suspects believed to be connected to the assassination of Colonel Osama Al-Radfani, commander of the Fourth Brigade in the Homeland Shield forces. The operation targeted the home of Sheikh Ali bin Haftan Al-Sae'ri following intelligence reports.
A substantial security force participated in the operation, successfully surrounding and raiding the targeted residence. Local sources reported that several wanted individuals found inside the house were taken into custody.
Initial investigations indicate a direct link between the apprehended individuals and the assassination of Colonel Al-Radfani and his escorts, which occurred in the Al-Abar area on Saturday.
The detainees are currently undergoing interrogation to elucidate the circumstances and motives behind the crime, and to identify all involved parties. They are expected to be referred to the competent judicial authorities upon completion of the legal procedures.
Colonel Al-Radfani, who commanded the Fourth Brigade of the Second Division within the Homeland Shield forces, was reportedly ambushed in the Al-Abar region, resulting in his death and the deaths of several of his companions.
