Armed Clashes Erupt in Rada'a Over Alleged Houthi Land Grabbing

Armed confrontations broke out in the city of Rada'a, Al Bayda governorate, on Tuesday evening, following an attempt by Houthi militia forces to seize a plot of land by force.

Local sources reported that tribal fighters from the Al Abu Sarimah clan resisted elements belonging to the Houthi militia. The militia had deployed military vehicles to secure the forceful appropriation and commence excavation work on the land using heavy machinery.

According to the sources, the militia brought in an affiliated individual named "Al-Ezzani," claiming ownership of the land in an attempt to legitimize the seizure. However, tribal fighters rejected these actions, viewing them as an effort to impose a fait accompli through armed force, which subsequently led to the outbreak of clashes in the vicinity.

As of now, there has been no independent confirmation of casualties resulting from the confrontations. The Houthi militia has not issued any official statement regarding the circumstances of the incident.
