Taiz Faces Renewed Household Gas Crisis as Filling Stations Halt Sales

Residents in the city of Taiz have reported a resurgence of the household gas crisis, with filling stations and distribution agents ceasing sales, leading to significant difficulties for citizens in obtaining essential supplies in recent days.

Local citizens stated that most gas filling stations and distribution agents in the city abruptly stopped sales. They confirmed their inability to acquire gas cylinders over the past two days, exacerbating their hardships, particularly given the challenging economic conditions.

A gas distributor explained that the halt in sales is due to the non-arrival of new gas shipments to the city. He anticipates the arrival of new consignments within the next two days, which should allow for the gradual resumption of distribution.

The Taiz Governorate frequently experiences recurring crises in household gas supplies. These are attributed to funding shortages and disruptions in supply lines caused by intermittent blockages and tribal interference, which intensifies the suffering of the population in this densely populated governorate and increases the daily burdens on families.
