Iranian State Media Reports Death of Supreme Leader Khamenei Following Airstrikes

Iranian state television announced early Sunday, March 1st, the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, attributing his demise to airstrikes that targeted Tehran the previous day.

The report follows earlier statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday evening confirming the death of Khamenei.

President Trump asserted that the operation was executed following meticulous intelligence tracking and was conducted in "close coordination with Israel."

Trump further indicated that Khamenei and other senior officials "could not escape accountability" for their actions.
