Coalition Vows Iron Fist Response to Threats Against Aden Security
The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen strongly condemned a treacherous terrorist attack that targeted the convoy of Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri, Commander of the Second Brigade of the Giants Forces, and his escorts, in the Jaula area of Lahij Governorate, southern Yemen.
Major General Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesman for the Coalition forces, stated in a press release issued by the media center of the Joint Forces Command that this cowardly criminal act violates all humanitarian and ethical values. He confirmed that the attack resulted in the martyrdom of several personnel and injuries among Brigadier General Shukri's escorts.
Major General Al-Maliki conveyed the condolences and sympathy of the Coalition leadership to the families of the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
Al-Maliki emphasized that the Coalition will strike with an "iron fist" anyone attempting to compromise the security and stability of the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates, or those seeking to undermine unity. He also urged the Yemeni government and military and security agencies to demonstrate solidarity and set aside differences to thwart subversive schemes targeting Yemeni society.
The spokesman concluded by affirming the Coalition's continued provision of steadfast support to the Yemeni security and military forces in combating terrorism, draining its intellectual and financial sources, and pursuing all those involved in this criminal act until they are brought to justice.
