Iran-backed Houthis dismiss 30 employees from Amran Cement Factory
The Iran-backed Houthis have dismissed 30 employees from the Amran Cement Factory after they refused to attend sectarian courses organized by the group for factory stuff.
Local sources said that the newly appointed director of the factory, Abdul Fattah Ismail Al-Ashmouri, who was appointed by the Houthis, issued a decision to dismiss 30 employees from the factory for refusing to participate in what the militias call cultural courses, which they organize for all stuff in various sectors and institutions.
The new factory director replaced the dismissed employees with 30 individuals loyal to the militias. The sources added.
The factory has witnessed sporadic protests by its workers at various times, sometimes due to the Houthis selling the factory assets, equipment, and properties, and other times due to the imposition of new Houthi-affiliated managers for the factory.
