Yemeni Observatory: 74 civilians were killed, injured in landmine and IED explosions last January

The Yemeni Landmine Observatory announced, on Thursday, that 74 civilians were killed and injured in the explosion of landmines and explosive remnants of war last January.
 
The Observatory said in a press release that it monitored "during the month of January, 41 incidents of explosions of mines, explosive ordnance, IEDs and shells remnants of war in nine Yemeni governorates, these incidents left 74 civilian casualties".
 
The Observatory documented 32 deaths, including 14 children and one woman, while the number of wounded reached 42, including 15 children and one woman, including those with permanent disabilities.
 
Hodeidah governorate topped the list of the most victims, as 18 civilian deaths were recorded, including 8 children and a woman, while the number of injured reached 20 wounded, including 11 children. While the rest of the casualties were distributed in the governorates of Al-Jawf, Marib, Saada, Hajjah, Shabwa, Abyan, Al-Baydha, and Nihm district of Sanaa.
