Syria accuses Israel of conducting rare daylight strike near Masyaf
Syria’s state media outlet SANA says Israeli jets launched airstrikes from over northern Lebanon at 6:45 p.m., targeting areas in the center of the country.
Citing a military source, the report claims air defenses shot down some of the Israeli missiles. It says the damage is still being assessed.
Earlier reports said air defenses were engaging targets over the northwestern Syrian city of Masyaf.
