One of those violations committed against the Yemeni people is drug trafficking and smuggling, in which, and according to the agency's sources, revealed the involvement of prominent senior leaders in the Yemeni legitimate government, in cooperation with other leaders in the Houthi controlled areas.

Most of the governorates witnessed a wide and large spread of Hashish and drug trafficking, most of which in (Sana'a, Taiz, Amran, Dhamar, Marib, Al-Baydha, Saada, Hodeidah, Shabwa, and Aden). The sources revealed.

Houthi leaders manage the drug trade and facilitate its access to its areas of control, in cooperation with prominent government leaders, including military leaders in the Ministry of Defense of the Yemen government. The sources added

According to the sources, the smuggling process takes place in broad daylight, with official permits from the authorities of the legitimate government and the Houthis in Sanaa.

The monitoring team of Khabar Agency, engaged in a dialogue with a motorcycle driver who was involved in drug trafficking, and left work with them, so he had to change his place and moved from his governorate to another, so that he would survive the killing.

The driver (who refused to be mentioned) said that he was taking a bumpy road passing through the villages, and he was receiving shipments consisting of 10 kilos to 20 kilos per day, in return he was receiving YR 50,000 for each transfer.

"I was receiving the shipment from Qania in Al-Baydha Governorate, when it was under the control of the legitimate government, through a military leader who called himself (Abu Taha), and he was transporting it to the city of Rada'a in Al-Baydha for a person called (Abu Al-Hussein Al-Riyami), and sometimes I was transporting it to Dhamar and received by a leader called (Abu Gabriel Al-Washali). The driver added.

The talk did not continue much based on his desire, but he (the driver) clarified a great cooperation and facilitation by the leaders of the legitimate government with smuggling hashish and drugs for the Houthis, stressing that Marib and Al Baydha were a drug smuggling point towards the Houthi militias.
