Deputy UN envoy prolongs crisis in Yemen

The faces of officials in the UN mission to Yemen change, but the failure remains accompanying them all in managing the Yemeni file, but rather contributing to trading in the suffering of the Yemeni people, and transforming the role of the UN organization from mediator to suspicious roles that complicate the political, military and social crisis in Yemen.

Political observers see that all four envoys appointed by the United Nations to Yemen have not changed their policy in the Yemeni file, which confirms that they are moving according to a pre-prepared agenda and criteria that are considered red lines that they should not cross.

Khabar Agency sources confirmed the involvement of officials in the UN mission to Yemen in siding with certain parties in the conflict, in an attempt to create a reality that changes the shape of the Yemeni state and contributes to planting militias used by international parties as arms to destabilize regional and international security.

The deputy UN envoy, Muin Shreim, who has remained in the same position throughout the envoys' work since the beginning of the crisis, is considered the invisible hand in controlling the political and humanitarian files in the Yemeni crisis. According to observers.

Observers see that the most disastrous performance of Shreim contributed to the deviation of the role of the UN envoy from his job role, which is limited to converging the views of the conflict parties to pushing social forces that are not influential in the local conflict to the political front, and dealing them as part of the necessity of a political solution.

They said that Shreim and the rest of the UN mission staff worked worked by all means to keep the situation in Yemen as it is, whether in the political or humanitarian aspect, so that the completion of the security, military and political files would be delayed and the support received by the Houthi militia would be overlooked.

Shreim has an ambiguous political record and biography. Many suspicions revolve around him, including those related to his strong ties to Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran. He was also transferred from Libya after several complaints from Libyan officials about his mismanagement and misconduct.
